CfWI partnerships

See who the CfWI have worked with - our partnerships:

  • Department of Health (DH)
The DH's performance management of the CfWI is based on good financial controls, delivering services and projects to a high-quality effective management contribution from staff and partners, and good data management.
  • Medical Education England (MEE)
The MEE's chair is on our advisory panel. In addition, the CfWI's chief executive is an observer at MEE board meetings.
  • Academy of Medical Royal Colleges
Our leadership team has strategic discussions with senior members of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, and there is a direct link to named individuals in the CfWI.

    The Academy members are:

  • NHS Commissioning Board, Economic Regulator and GP Commissioning Consortia
  • As set out in the recent white paper, the following will happen:

    • An independent and accountable commissioning board will be established.
    • Monitor will become the Economic Regulator and will be responsible for pricing.
    • Local consortia of GP practices will have greater responsibility for commissioning services.

We intend to work closely with these organisations.

  • Deaneries, specialties, allied health professionals and medical scientists
  • The same relationship exists with these organisations as that of the CfWI with the Royal Academy of Medical Royal Colleges.

  • Strategic health authorities (SHAs)
  • Engagement with SHAs is primarily undertaken by the CfWI's regional leads.

  • Primary care trusts (PCTs) and foundation trusts
  • As well as building new relationships, the CfWI is leveraging existing relationships formed through other programmes and projects in which it is involved.
