Peter Sharp, our chief executive is speaking at the sixth annual Reshaping the Nursing Workforce conference and broadcast.

Featuring a keynote address by Anne Milton MP, Minister for Public Health, this event will look at the integral role of education and training in delivering an expert workforce. In addition it will consider the extent to which the future shape of our workforce is mirroring the care challenges we face. It is essential that the future shape as well as the size of the future workforce is informed through evidence-based planning with closer alignment of service delivery, education and training and research.

Peter will be talking about the role of nurses in delivering integrated healthcare and the workforce implications of this. Professor James Buchan, from the School of Health Sciences, Queen Margaret University and one of CfWI’s professional advisors is also speaking, about nursing workforce trends and projections. The CfWI will also have an exhibition stand at the event, where members of our team will be available to discuss our current work and publications.
