The Department of Health in China launched the first session of Continued Medical Education (CME) courses for medical professionals in early 2009. The China Britain Education Centre was established in May 2009 to serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among Chinese and British non-profit and for-profit organizations in the development and marketing of Medical Education. It also supports Chinese Healthcare Authorities to raise standards of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuing Medical Education.
