Health Workforce New Zealand was set up in 2009 to provide leadership on the planning and development of the health and disability workforce. The organisation advises the Government on a wide range of health workforce planning issues and works together with training providers, professional bodies and employers to support the development of the health and disability workforce.

Health Workforce New Zealand

Health Workforce NZ was formed to address the issues faced in health sector workforce development. Its aim is to provide a single, coordinated response to improving the ability to train, recruit and retain the health workforce. The need for this agency has become more critical as graduates of many health disciplines leave New Zealand and the health needs of the population increase. Visit the site of Health Workforce New Zealand to find out more about their work.
