NHS East Midlands Workforce and Education Investment Plan 2011/2012
The drive for workforce quality and productivity has been developed by NHS East Midlands into a workforce and education investment plan with the following key strands:
- Transformation: to match workforce change to service change as quickly and seamlessly as possible and to champion workforce innovation.
- Pay and benefits: to use pay and benefits as levers to help create a flexible and adaptable workforce.
- Utilisation: to strive for productivity gains through improving workforce utilisation; reducing sickness absence,pushing forward the productive care programme, driving down agency usage and reviewing skill requirements.
- Maximising contribution: to harness the workforce contribution; improving staff health and wellbeing, maximising the benefit of training investment and improving staff engagement through the High Quality Workforce Programme.
