Alan Apley Memorial Lecture: The future of the surgical workforce

Throughout the year, the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) holds instructional courses that are of critical value for those trainees preparing for their FRCS examination. The guide used by examiners when assessing candidates is whether their knowledge and skill levels are consistent with a day one consultant.

The BOA held its 41st Instructional course on 14-15 January 2012 at the Manchester Conference Centre.

Peter Sharp, Chief Executive of the CfWI, gave the Alan Apley Memorial Lecture and presented on The future of the surgical workforce.
