Rhidian Hughes, Head of Social Care at the CfWI, led a social care horizon scanning session at the National Children and Adults Services (NCAS) Conference.
Working in partnership with the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) Workforce Policy Network, Skills for Care, National Care Forum, Think Local, Act Personal and colleagues from the Department of Health, the CfWI-led horizon scanning session examined
- demographic patterns and future need
- changing expectations and policy priorities
- the future shape and structure of social care markets
- new and emerging workforces.
The NCAS conference also featured a short film of Peter Sharp, Chief Executive, introducing delegates to the work of the CfWI.
