Date of Interview: 30 June 2010.
What can we expect to see from the CfWI during its first year as a new body?
Peter Sharp: Well we have key service areas and projects to deliver across the first 12 months of the operation of the Centre and the output from that will include, for example; medical numbers to determine in 2011 how many places there will be for doctors and medical professions.
Secondly, we are going to develop a suite of 10 models which we’ll put up to the website and those models can be used for workforce planning.
Thirdly, we are going to have the architecture for looking how we capture all the data and the information that we need elaborated by the late autumn of 2010. We are also going to have maturity measures around a suite of models, 10 models that say what they can be used for, when they can be used and so on.
A number of the things we are producing will go live on the web on the 18th August 2010 when the Centre website, cfwi.org.uk, goes live.
