Publication on new approach to education and training
The CfWI welcomes the publication of Liberating the NHS: Developing the Healthcare Workforce - From Design to Delivery. The Department of Health publication sets out the policy framework for a new approach to workforce planning and the education and training of the health and public health workforce.
The publication builds on the responses to earlier public consultation and the advice of the NHS Future Forum.
We look forward to working with a range of other organisations, and in particular Health Education England (HEE), to bring about these changes and to create a system which will have a positive impact on both patients and staff.
We support the Government’s vision for a better education, training and workforce planning system for healthcare, which can produce a flexible workforce with the skills and knowledge to provide safe, effective and compassionate care.
