Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) appoints new CEO
Andrea Sutcliffe has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) replacing outgoing head Julie Jones. Sutcliffe starts the role in April 2012.
SCIE Chair Allan Bowman says:
We are delighted with the appointment, Andrea is an experienced chief executive with a background in both social care in local government and the NHS at national and local levels. Her energy, intelligence and experience will be vital to us as we enter a new stage of SCIE’s development.
The SCIE improves the lives of people who use care services by sharing knowledge about what works. It is an independent charity working with adults, families and children's social care and social work services across the UK. The SCIE also works closely with related services such as healthcare and housing.
